THE FUTURE
REMEMBERS.

Amiga soul. A new kind of freedom. QRX OS One connects the spirit of AEROS with the ambition to run software across operating systems and CPU architectures—powered by ARMithlon, QRX68, QRX86 and the imagined QRX68100.

An experimental platform with working components and ambitious roadmap features—not a finished universal OS.

01 / ORIGIN STORY

NOT A REBOOT.
AN EVOLUTION.

AEROS → QRX

AEROS once fused the Amiga-like AROS experience with the vast Linux ecosystem. QRX OS One is its spiritual successor: one desktop, many worlds.

The dream isn't to choose between old and new. It's to make them work together—AmigaOS 3.x and AROS 68k heritage, Windows and Linux applications, future PowerPC/x64/ARM translation, local-first AI and optional cloud services.

02 / THE TRINITY

11 / THE SMALL PRINT

GOOD QUESTIONS.
CLEAR ANSWERS.

Can QRX OS One already run every operating system?

No. That is the long-term vision, not the current state. Several 68k and x86 components are experimental; PPC, x64 and wider ARM compatibility are future work.

Does QRX68100 exist as a physical CPU?

No. It is a fictional, software-defined dual-core processor concept inspired by the Motorola 68040 and modern 68k development. It is not a commercial chip or an Apollo 68080 clone.

Can I run Directory Opus or Final Writer today?

Their general compatibility has not been demonstrated. QRX68 provides tested subsets of AmigaOS APIs, but complex real-world applications still need further integration and testing.

Are QRX OS One Cloud and local AI available now?

They are planned product directions. Local AI integrations and cloud-connected services are not presented as launched features.

Is QRX free, and what does Patreon do?

The goal is software that remains free to use. Patreon support is voluntary, helps fund development and gives the community a voice in what gets attention next.

Is QRX related to the official AROS project?

QRX OS One builds on and draws inspiration from the independent, open-source AROS ecosystem. AROS remains a separate upstream project; QRX is not its official successor or replacement.
